ORLANDO
HomeGrown Theatre Presents: Virginia Woolf's ORLANDO adapted by Sarah Ruhl
Part love letter to Vita Sackville-West, part exploration of the art of biography, Sarah Ruhl's adaptation lifts right from the novel's text and mixes Woolf's prose with musically tinted poetic lyricism, presenting a delicious romp through gender, love, and time.
HomeGrown Theatre's love letter production is to anyone who's ever felt uncomfortable in their own skin. A celebration of the human body through movement, lyrical text, and a story where time and gender are irrelevant. Not locked. Not limited. Ecstasy. Alt rock meets Degas in a story about identity, love, and ignoring conformity.
