Ballet Workshop with Deneen Melody
Drawing from years of professional dance and performance experience, Deneen Melody will lead a two-hour ballet workshop. The class will include a full barre and center work, as well as floor work.
All levels of dancers are invited, but to make the most of your experience, some ballet dance experience is recommended.
Ballet shoes are required.
A true lover of all art forms, Deneen Melody is a professional dancer, actress, and model. She began as a ballerina, training and performing with a variety of companies such as Woodlands Ballet Theatre, San Diego Ballet, Ballet Austin, and the Sandra Organ Dance Company. At the age of 16, she was one of the young dancers selected to perform at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland with the Burklyn Ballet Theater. Deneen was also a featured dancer in several episodes of NBC's The Playboy Club and had the opportunity to work with choreographer Fatima Robinson and director Kenny Ortega. Aside from The Playboy Club, Deneen has an extensive resume in both film and theater. Currently, Deneen is training in various forms of circus arts and can be seen in the burlesque scene as Leggy Lass Greenleaf. She is thrilled to be involved with True Focus Theater.
