Haunted by memories of her husband, Mrs. Alving prepares to open an orphanage in his honor. But when her son arrives home in the clutches of a deadly disease, and a looming spectre from her past rises to confront her, all her carefully guarded secrets begin to unravel. Old wounds will be opened. Secrets will be revealed. And the sins of the father will be brought to light.

Playing in repertory with Ibsens A DOLLS HOUSE, New Muses brings another controversial masterpiece to the stage. Years after her husbands death, Helene Alving (Carrie Schnelker) is preparing to open an orphanage in his honor. With the arrival of an old friend, Pastor Manders (John Kelleher) and her son Oswald (Niclas Olson) the carefully guarded secrets Mrs. Alving has been keeping about her husband begin to unravel. As the sins of the father, and their consequences, become painfully clear, Mrs. Alving is left to question her life, her relationships, and whether or not she will ever be able to escape the spectres of the past.
