Terry Crane & Erica Rubinstein / Retro Verso: Artistic Director and Co-founder of Acrobatic Conundrum, Terry Crane surrendered to restless urges that led him to walk calmly away with the circus at the tender age of 20. Since then, his search for movement and performance mentoring has generated a zigzag constellation of off-the-beaten path destinations, taking him to the San Francisco Circus Center, Montreal's National Circus School (of Cirque du Soleil fame), and the Beijing International Acrobatics School. He has now performed in countless countries, on 3 continents, with various groups such as Circus Syzygy, Circus Monti and Teatro ZinZanni.  AC Company member Erica Rubinstein first discovered circus while studying neuroscience and dance at Oberlin College. With a background of eight years in competitive gymnastics, circus seemed a natural fit. Past performances include the Chicago Contemporary Circus Festival, Teatro Zinzannis Mezzo Lunatico, Circus Bella, the Moisture Festival and Backstreet Festival in Alexandria, Egypt. Erica and Terry perform as duo Retro Verso, a genre and gender challenging partner acrobatics duet that flips our preconceptions on their head. Visit them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Retro-Verso-201264766673510/ or at www.acrobaticconundrum to learn more about their work.

Marina Mezzogiorno-Brown discovered circus in New York in 2009 where she hosted and performed in cabarets at The Red Rhino, The House of Yes and Tiny, Dangerous, Fun. She studied aerial arts at The Circus Warehouse while finishing her bachelors degree in Ethnography at The Evergreen State College. In 2011 she moved to Europe for advanced training at FLIC Contemporary Circus School, where she focused on aerial rope. She has performed in streets and theatres in Italy, Spain and The Czech Republic, and worked with Pat Graney, Maria Pia Di Mauro and Petr Forman. Visit http://www.catalystcircus.wix.com/catalyst

THE LOVE MARKETS create songs for a world in which we are all on the market, looking for love against a backdrop of loss, greed and political corruption. Fronted by singer-songwriter Angie Louise, the Weimar-inspired band has been gracing and disgracing the stages of Seattle's arts scene since 2008, whether packing folks into ACT Theatre, bringing the slip-and-beret look to City Arts Fest and Seattle Art Museum, or performing as special guests of Seattle Men's Chorus, Sandbox Radio, and TV's ArtZone with Nancy Guppy. POP marks their eighth appearance at the enchanting Burlesco Notturno. In 2013, The Love Markets released their debut album World Of Your Dreams ("Irresistible... A deliciously dark carnival" - Seattle Magazine). Join them August 13 at ACT Theatre for the release of their second album, Beauty Factory! The Love Markets are: Angie Louise (vocals, keys, songs); Robertson Witmer (accordion); David Marriott, Jr. (trombone); Dave Pascal (bass); Chris Monroe (drums). Drop into their musical boudoir at

She has performed various characters on different apparatus (hoops, trapeze, globes and stilts) at Teatro Zinzani, Cirque du Flambe, the Moisture Festival and with UMO Ensemble. Her most recent creative endeavors have included performing in UMO's acclaimed FAIL BETTER: Beckett Moves UMO, writing and performing Red Tiger Tales with UMO, and creating a duet clown trapeze act with David Godsey and an apple.

David Godsey (Her Lawyer, Founder of Open Space): Since co-founding UMO in 1987, the Ensemble has been the primary focus and outlet for his performance work. David performs in UMO's most recent work, FAIL BETTER: Beckett Moves UMO, as well as Red Tiger Tales.  David was lead artist for UMO's Final Broadcast (2007) and he also directed the creation of UMO's Millennium Circus (1999) as well as Birth, Love, Death and Re-Birth (1996), a collaboration with the Seattle Men's Chorus.
