From These Pages
From These Pages is a unique event in Danville featuring live music, storytelling and spoken-word poetry. Past audience members will tell you it is an interesting, different and - most of all - FUN way to spend a Saturday evening! Our last show was a near sellout, so let's fill the house this time!
Performances will include:
-Music from Danville band The Untold Stories
-A reading by Danville native John-Mark Davidson, whose recently published book currently boasts a Five-Star rating on Amazon
-Readings from FTP fan favorite Jason Mott, a Pushcart Prize-nominated poet who recently became a full-time writer, landing a two-book publishing deal with MIRA Books in May 2012
-Spoken-word poetry from artist Joseph LMS, whose powerful stage presence led one Union Street Theatre staffer to muse, "He sounds like what I imagine the voice of God would sound like"
-And more!
Light refreshments will be provided. Tickets cost $7 in advance and $10 at the door, so get yours now!
