UPROOTED theatre presents a staged benefit reading of THE AMEN CORNER
Join UPROOTED theatre
Monday June 18th, 7pm - at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
3617 N. 48th Street in Milwaukee (1 block north of W. Roosevelt Drive)
as we join 24 esteemed theatres across the United States participating in
PROJECT1VOICE.
On June 18th, each theatre will present a simultaneous reading of James Baldwin's THE AMEN CORNER, to increase awareness of African American theatre around the country.
Suggested donation $25.
This special event marks the beginning of UPROOTED theatre's residence at
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church; where we will present performances and staged readings as well as diverse cultural & educational programs.
UPROOTED theatre is dedicated to fostering the careers of local African American artists. Building an artistic home at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will allow us to expand our programming to reach more people.
