sh Salon Spring 2016
Salon: a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation. These gatherings often consciously followed Horace's definition of the aims of poetry, "either to please or to educate"
For the spring 2016 sh Salon, we bring you three beautiful performers from Richmond Virginia:
Deanna Danger is an international performance artist skilled in many genres, based in Richmond, VA and is known as The Warrior of Burlesque. Her sometimes dangerous, always crowd-pleasing performances have graced stages from her home and across the US & Canada. Deanna has also been a dance, theater and burlesque instructor since January, 2010. Her studio Boom Boom Basics Burlesque & Performing Arts Studio is Virginias premier and only full service burlesque institution, with weekly classes in Richmond, as well as weekend workshops in many East Coast States. Deanna is also an aerialist & go-go dancer and has appeared at Trash in NYC, as well as at Richmond's Rvalution and RVANYE 2015, and is a resident cage dancer at the Richmond goth/industrial/fetish club Fallout. She is also a core member of Richmonds only professional go-go troupe, the Deviant Dollz.
Saffron Soleil is a burlesque performer (2013 Graduate of Deanna Danger's Boom Boom Basics Burlesque and Performing Arts Studio), model, and artist based in Richmond, Virginia and has enjoyed the creativity in costume making ever since she learned to do a hand stitch in Home-Ec class! Saffron is currently a member of Richmond's local burlesque dance troupe The Boomettes, and is part of the rotating regular cast at Deepa De Jour's Richmond Burlesque Revue. She is an advocate for plus size models and body positive influence, as well as more diversity and representation of People Of Color in media and arts.
Jo'Rie Tigerlily is a recent graduate of Deanna Danger's Boom Boom Basics Burlesque and Performing Arts Studio. With her strong background in music, theater, and dance combined with the skills learned during her burlesque training she is ready to hit the ground running. She recently performed in Deanna Danger Productions' Knuckles Cracker along side her fellow Boomettes and has performed in Deepa de Jour's Richmond Burlesque Revue. In addition to burlesque she also lends her dance skills to the Deviant Dollz Go-Go Dance Troupe based out of Richmond as well. This ferocious flower is on the prowl to be the fiercest tease of them all!

But here is where we are turning it up a notch for 2016. Along with the performers, we are highlighting local chefs/restaurants. Thats right, we are partnering with some of the best talent in the culinary fields here in Columbia SC. We are applying the same concept to them that we do to our performers; they cook what they absolutely love to cook (may be on a menu somewhere, may not) and then they tell you why they do what they do (what makes them tick and so on) and a Q&A session.
For the Spring salon we are pleased to announce that Rhett Elliott of WAR MOUTH will be on hand with some mind blowing nummies. If you haven't been to their brand new location on North Main St, you are seriously missing out. But this will give you all a chance to meet the brains behind the food, hear about what they cooked and why, and learn just a little about what WAR MOUTH is all about.

Tickets can be purchased at Frame of Mind at 140 State Street prior to the show. The tickets are limited availability, so we suggest you get them as fast you as can (thus "day of" tickets almost never exist).
