The Lion in Winter at Valley Center Stage
Betrayal, treachery, and a knife fight: its just another normal get together for the royal Plantagenet family of Britain.
In The Lion in Winter, King Henry II throws a celebration for the newly crowned King of France. Also in attendance are Henrys mistress, his three plotting sons each eager to take the throne, and Henrys manipulative wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, who has been kept in prison since raising an army against him. While the three sons back stab and squabble to take their place in history, Eleanor and Henry use their offspring as pawns against each other in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
Told in marvelously articulate language, The Lion in Winter is a play that transcends the historical genre to become a bitingly hilarious family drama.

NOTE:
Online ticket sales end 3 hours before a performance. If you see "Sales Ended" for the performance date which you would like to attend, you may still be able to purchase a ticket at the box office. We set aside a certain number of seats for people purchasing tickets at the door. The box office opens at 7 PM, so you might want to arrive at 6:30 PM in order to maximize your chances of a ticket being available at the door. It's very rare for us to not be able to accommodate all who desire to see a performance.
If you have any questions about purchasing tickets, please send us an email at valleycenterstage@gmail.com or call us at (425) 200-8936. Thank you!
