we are excited to welcome the wines of the far niente family for an exclusive dinner and tasting. in 1885, the beloved oakville-based estate was founded by a forty-niner of the california gold rush, john benson, but around 1919, prohibition resulted in his abandonment of the winery. it wasnt until 1982, that the winery and adjacent vineyards were purchased and restored by gil nickel. after far niente came nickel & nickel, en route, and dolceall of which have garnered cult-like followings. a selection from each will be paired with dishes crafted by chef bradley ceynowa, featuring the lamb of don watsons highly regarded napa valley lamb co.
