KZYX Presents Amy Goodman at Willits Center for the Arts
KZYX is pleased to present Democracy Now! host, author, and journalist Amy Goodman in person Saturday, April 16 at The Willits Center for the Arts, 71 East Commercial Street in Willits, beginning at 1:00pm.

This is a unique opportunity to see, hear and meet one of Americas most influential journalists in a small setting. Goodman will speak and sign copies of her book "Democracy Now! Twenty Years Covering the Movements Changing America" by Amy Goodman, David Goodman and Denis Moynihan. Mendocino Book Company will have copies of the book available for purchase at the event. Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. (Standing room will be available for those unable to get a seat.) All tickets are $25 and are available at Harvest Market in Fort Bragg, Dig! Music and Ukiah Natural Foods Co-op in Ukiah, J.D. Redhouse in Willits, and online at Brown Paper Tickets (www.brownpapertickets.com).

Democracy Now!, heard weekdays on KZYX at 4:00pm, is a national daily, independent, award-winning news program, pioneering the largest public media collaboration in the U.S. Democracy Now!s War and Peace Report, provides their audience with access to people and perspectives rarely heard in the corporate-sponsored media in the United States, including independent and international journalists, ordinary people from around the world who are directly affected by U.S. foreign policy, grassroots leaders and peace activists, artists, academics and independent analysts. In addition, Democracy Now! hosts real debates: debates between people who substantially disagree, such as between the White House or the Pentagon spokespeople on the one hand, and grassroots activists on the other.

This event is a fundraiser for KZYX, 90.7, 91.5, and 88.1 FM, the community non-commercial radio station of Mendocino County, serving several counties in northern California from studios in Philo, Willits, and Mendocino.
