Perelada Wines and Tapas at Cúrate
Wednesday, March 30, we are hosting a wine dinner at Cúrate featuring Perelada wines. This historical winery has been operating in the northeast of Spain since 1923 on land that has been used for wine production since the Middle Ages. It has been in the same family since 1923, with a strong adherence to traditional winemaking. Its location close to the ocean and the mountains lends a unique terroir to each finely-crafted wine. Pereleda is only 14 km from Felix Meana's hometown, Roses, so featuring this winery is very meaningful. Castillo Perelada, the medieval castle from which the winery gets its name is a significant landmark for the Emporda region.
Their wines and cavas have won many awards and prizes from a variety of organizations including The International Wine and Spirit, Viniales Internacionales and Councours Mondial de Bruxelles.
We are honored to welcome winemaker Delfí Sanahuja, who has just received the Best Oenologist of the Year award from the Catalan Sommeliers Association. He has worked at Perelada since 1998 and will lend his expertise to the meal.
We will be pairing five wines with classic Cúrate tapas with a few special dishes from Chef Katie Button. Wine expert Josh Spurling from Table Wine shop will be in attendance to assist guests with tasting and offer wines for purchase. Please join us for this event! Limited seating is available.
