The Albany Consort celebrates Bach's Birthday!
We only need a flimsy excuse to perform Bachs music, and the great composers birthday! Between March 25 and 29 we will give four concerts featuring two of his most stunning virtuoso concertos Brandenburg Concerto No 5, with its extended harpsichord cadenza, and the brilliant Violin Concerto in E.
Completing the full program we include three sets of variations Purcells lovely Chaconne in g minor, Geminianis orchestration of Corellis La Follia and Muffats Ciacona.
