Youth in Focus Summer 2016 Summer Camps!
DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS
In this class, youth will learn the basics of both the camera and industry standard editing software. Students will do on location shooting, use Adobe Lightroom for post production and learn the basics of composition and critique.
CREATIVE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
In this class, youth will learn advanced skills in Adobe Lightroom, functions of a D-SLR, do on location shooting, studio lighting, and created a themed body of work.
August Camp Options:
Digital Photography Basics, August 1 - 5
(this camp does have a waiting list - contact us to be place on that list.)
Creative Digital Photography, August 8 - 12
(as of July 29th, there is only one spot open!)
All camps will be one-week and run 9:30AM - 12:30PM each day. Youth will have the option to sign up for consecutive weeks to build on basic skills learned. Camps are held at Youth in Focus and all supplies/equipment are included in the cost
Youth in Focus mission is to empower urban youth, through photography, to experience their world in new ways and to make positive choices for their lives. We put cameras in the hands of low income, at-risk youth and place them in a challenging environment surrounded by high quality talented teachers, nurturing adult volunteer mentors, and create a strong community of support. Through photography our students find their voice, identity, creativity, and gain new confidence in their worth and abilities.
