Israelis saving lives around the world
Please join us to hear the moving stories and the unique role of IsraAID an Israel based organization in disasters such as the Syrian refugees crisis the ebola outbreak, the earthquake in Nepal and many more.

Speakers:

Navonel Glick (Voni) is IsraAIDs Chief Operating Officer at the organizations headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel. He is responsible for all the day-to-day leadership and oversees the general management of the organization. In this role, Voni has helped establish IsraAID as a respected and internationally recognized humanitarian aid organization, with operations in 17 countries around the world.

Prior to this role, Voni served as IsraAIDs Programs Director for 3 years, leading disaster-response missions throughout the globe. These include notably the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan, Sierra Leone after the Ebola outbreak, Northern Iraq since the emergence of the Islamic State, and many more.

Before joining IsraAID, Voni spent 4 years in Nepal, working in volunteer management and long-term development projects to alleviate poverty with communities in both rural and urban settings.

An Israeli/Canadian citizen, Voni completed an International Baccalaureat in France in 2004, before joining McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Iris Adler is a physician and leading member of IsraAID's emergency medical team. Her most recent mission was on the beaches of Lesbos, Greece where she deployed twice, treating thousands of primarilySyrian refugees, and in the process establishing IsraAID's leading role in the humanitarian response.

During her studies, Iris was involved in social activism as a medical volunteer for African refugees, and facilitated workshops for Jewish and Arab women in the coexistence city of Ramla. In addition, Iris was part of the Schusterman leadership development program, and a public diplomacy program - initiating the HMC Conference geared at educating international students about humanitarian medicine in Israel.

An Israeli/American citizen, Iris completed a Medical Doctor (MD) degree at Tel Aviv University, and is currently working at Tel Avivs Sourasky Medical Center in the surgical ER.

Iris served as a reserve Captain in the IDF before joining the reserve medical corps.

Yotam Polizer

Yotam Polizer has over 10 years of experience in Education, humanitarian aid and international development. He is currently acting as the global partnership director and the Psycho Social Support (PSS) Coordinator of IsraAIDs Aid & Development projects in Asia and West Africa.

Following the September 2015 refugee crisis in Europe, Yotam has led a humanitarian mission in Lesbos, Greece to support the Syrian refugees.

During the 2015 earthquake in Nepal, Yotam has led a Rescue, Education, Psycho social and Medical mission in the affected areas. Since the September 2014 Ebola outbreak in West Africa, Yotam has been leading IsraAID's Psycho social and Educational program in Sierra Leone for Ebola survivors, health workers, and affected communities.

During the last 4 years, Yotam has built and lead Psycho Education programs in Japan after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan in 2013, and in South Korea to support the reintegration of North Korean defectors.

As IsraAID's Emergency Coordinator, Yotam is in charge of developing programs in crisis zones around the world, as well as managing the deployment of IsraAID's PSS roster of 135 international experienced therapists and academics.
