VIP Reception @ Grizzlies Champion Weekend - Business Street Online Class of 2015 40 Under 40 - A Wish For Tony

The Grizzlies kick off the 2016 season with a weekend long celebration of the franchise's first ever PCL and Triple-A Championships.

The 40 Under 40", presented by Business Street Online, recognizes outstanding business professionals in the private and public sectors of central California who have yet to reach the age of 40. They have demonstrated a strong work ethic, and are the leaders of today as well as tomorrow.

The 40 Under 40 2015 Class will be granting Tony's wish at Grizzlies Stadium on April 16, 2016 but shhhhhh... it's a surprise!

A WISH FOR TONY

In February 2015 Tonys parents discovered a lump on the side of his neck and took him in for a biopsy where he was diagnosed with Stage 3A Hodgkins Lymphoma. Tonys mom said that she remembers the day as numbing, emotional and unreal. It was tough on Tony as he went through radiation, chemotherapy, mouth sores, aches, pains, nausea, heartburn and fatigue. Even with these symptoms, his mom said he hung in like a champ! While he was going through the treatment he missed hanging out and joking with his friends and playing baseball the most!

Tony played in his first Babe Ruth game while undergoing treatment, for the love of the sport. One of his favorite things to do is play catch with his younger sister.

Other favorites: The color blue, The Outsiders book, Land of the Lost movie, Fruit cups, seafood, Edo-Ya Tokyo Cuisine, strawberry cake & Hershey bars with almonds.

Tony is now in remission, a sophomore at Madera North High School and is back as a Coyote playing with his baseball team!

Tonys wish is to attend the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in San Diego.
