It's that time again! March 10-11 at 7 P.M. Vernal Utah's Storytelling Festival is back to bring the magic of storytelling vividly into focus! We are thrilled to be featuring such a dynamic set of tellers this year with Ed Stivender and Regi Carpenter.
In reviews of his work, Ed Stivender has been called the Robin Williams of storytelling by the  Miami Herald  and a Catholic Garrison Keillor by Kirkus Review. After he left his day job as a high school teacher in Connecticut and turned to storytelling full-time, Ed has fabulated his way around the globe --appearing in schools, churches, coffeehouses and theaters, as well as at major storytelling festivals. Winning Most Original Character at the Philadelphia Mummers Parade and narrating Ferdinan the Bull with a violinist for the Philadelphia Orchestra among many other brilliant things, his range of talent is impressive. With a distinguished performance history and a singular talent we are honored to have him with us this year. Find out more about him here http://edstivender.com/about/.

Regi Carpenter is a solo performance artist, author, retreat leader and performance coach. An award winning performer, Regi has toured her solo shows and workshops in theaters, festivals and schools, nationally and internationally.
Regi is the youngest daughter in a family that pulsates with contradictions: religious and raucous, tender but terrible, unfortunate yet irrepressible. These tales celebrate the glorious and gut  wrenching lives of four generations of Carpenters raised on the Saint Lawrence River in Clayton, New York. Tales of underwater tea parties, drowning lessons and drives to the dump give voice to multi-generations of family life in a small river town with an undercurrent. Swift, unexpected, and powerful as the river itself, Regis tales are an unexpected gift that promises to leave us longing for more empathic vignettes from this comfortable, compelling voice. Booklist Review of CD Diving and Emerging.  Find more info athttp://regicarpenter.com/.  We cant wait to sample her beautiful and relatable stories at our festival!
In addition to the two evening performances Friday the 11th we will also be hosting our Storytelling Symposium for students, educators, and enthusiasts who apply. A large part of our festival is encouraging expanding knowledge, developing experience, and learning how to share it!
