BATTLE FATIGUE @ blank slate theatre
Demonté Marshall, a young black activist from Minneapolis, is found dead in his cell in a juvenile detention center. The JDC has ruled it as suicide, but the lines become blurred when Claire Coleman, a bright-eyed independent therapist, enters the JDC to talk with four of the youth Demonté affected the most. BATTLE FATIGUE focuses on black youth and their mental health, while dissecting the daily workings of police relations toward black youth.
* BATTLE FATIGUE contains strong language and intense themes. Recommended for ages 13 and up.
