Join us for an evening with Maggi Gordon - quilt collector, quiltmaker, and author of more than fifteen books about quilting - whose research has given her fascinating insights into the history of quilts. Many of the skills and techniques involved in making quilts as we know them come from cultures ancient and modern, and from around the world. Armed with pieces from her wide-ranging collection, Gordon will discuss how quilting migrated from clothing and wall coverings onto beds, and how they came to spell warmth and comfort to generations of people.
