"Daughters of the Revolution" brought to you by 4elements theatre

Daughters of the Revolution: Opens at the Harbour Playhouse March 4th 8pm
A 4elements Production
www.4elements.ie
Everyone knows that Ireland is the best little country to give birth inor is it?
Daughters of the Revolution, by Kate Harris, is a satirical and irreverent play, examining exactly what women have to go through to get from pregnancy to birth. And once you go down the rabbit-hole of the maternity serviceswho knows what could happen.
4elements is creating a massive journey of sight, sound, and dialogue through the maternity experience. The play, Daughters of the Revolution, will be framed by an art installation curated by Artist in Residence, Coral Mallow, and an expert panel discussion each night following the performance.
We will explore the underlying conflict between womens bodily autonomy and the law, with humour and our unique insight into the experience of maternity in Ireland.
4elements Theatre Company is committed to ambitious theatre performance. Founded in 2009, 4elements incorporates political and social issues into a broader cultural discussion.  Our goal is to create exceptional artistic experiences based on social engagement.
Director: Kate Harris
Cast: Andrea Cleary, Benjamin Musgrave, Diana OConnor, and Amy Dunne
Production Design: Naomi Faughnan
Production Assistant: Alan Grant
Responses to Daughters of the Revolution:
an authentic and true reflection; you capture the disrespect and abuse of women by the system very well which will hopefully give rise to an interesting conversation-Philomena Canning, Midwife and co-founder of Midwives4Choice
Finely distilled  I see it, see the images and see the people. You really made it come alive and have had an acute ear for all you heard from women and midwives-Dr Jo Murphy-Lawless, Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, TCD
