Face Time with the Pros
The National Capital Chesapeake Chapter of the Emmys/NATAS (http://www.capitalemmys.tv/) together with the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association (capba.org) and the National Press Photographers Association (https://www.nppa.org/) are sponsoring "Face Time With the Pros" at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland in College Park on Saturday, March 5 from 8:30a-4p.
The seminars will include sessions on better story-telling, working the live shot (we will have a live truck--thanks to Fox5--for students to work with), performance tips (working with teleprompters, presentation, etc.) as well opportunities for one-on-one sessions with the pros who can review resumes, resume reels and provide job interview tips.
We will have news directors and other newsroom leaders from around the area joining us in an opening session to talk about what they're looking for when they hire as well as discuss what the job market looks like.
