In her talk 'The Changing Brain: A journey through the brain's remarkable ability to transform itself', Dr. Nahum discusses how the adult brain can change itself. Her talk will first cover what we have learned about the brain's ability to change from famous brain injury cases, and from the brain of an expert. She will then discuss the best scientifically-proven methods to change the brain in adulthood, with specific emphasis on technology-based brain treatments for mental health. She will then discuss real-world technologies to recover brain pathologies, and will conclude her talk with the topic of brain-computer interface and the future of brain-based therapeutics.
