_____________ Growing Raspberries - A 2 hour Indoor/outdoor workshop. Raspberries are among the favorite fruits grown in home gardens and offer some of the most challenges to gardeners. There are many types of 'bramble' fruit including red, yellow, or black raspberries, summer and fall bearers, etc. Each type offers unique growth habits and pruning methods for optimal health and yield. Speaker, Sonia Schloemann, will teach participants the basics and give them the tools to overcome some of the challenges. Topics will include selecting varieties, soil requirements, planting recommendations, cultural practices, key pests and their management, pruning and there will be time for questions. Then, outside we will put some of that into practice. Ms Schloemann will remain available via email for attendees to ask questions if something isn't clear once the program is over. Participants are invited to a BYO lunch between the raspberry and strawberry workshops if attending both.
