Ostara in the Woodland Court
Abysmal Productions is proud to present:
OSTARA IN THE WOODLAND COURT
The Holly King and Queen of the Changing Seasons cordially invites you to join their Woodland Court this Spring Equinox for ritual to be followed by a Faery Ball.
Arrive between 5:45 and 6:45 for the ritual and you will bear witness as the Oak Prince is challenged to prove his worth to rule, to care for the land and the people through the summer season. Should he prevail, we will toast to his rise as Oak King and celebrate the opening of his Summer Court.
Arrive after 8 pm and/or stay after ritual for a Faery Ball! To celebrate the Oak King's coronation we shall have music and dance, performances, delicacies, a goblin market and more!
Buy your ticket online here, yes, and also receive a formal invitation in the mail to present at the entrance to the Court.
NOTE: BY PURCHASING A TICKET, YOU AGREE TO HAVE YOUR PICTURE TAKEN BY OUR PHOTOGRAPHER. Photos will be posted publicly on our website after the event.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
5:45 Doors open
6:10-6:30 Ritual orientation and Q&A
6:30-7:00 Master of the Dance will give instruction in basic court dances
6:45 Doors close for ritual
7:00-8:00 Ritual challenge and coronation of the Oak Prince to Oak King, concluding with formal court dances to open the ball:
8:00 Doors re-open and the Faery Ball begins. Bar is open, appetizers will be served, musicians will be playing in the far background, the Goblin Market is open and you can get your photo taken at the Photo Booth
9:00-10:00 Royal Performances. Experience the magnificence of our performers: bellydancer and drummers, musicians, fencer demo and more!
11:00 Final call for bar and let the drum circle begin!
12:00 The Ball will end at the stroke of midnight.
