Airports are the ultimate liminal space, providing a microcosm of the world, a highly concentrated drop of life. They are full of goodbyes and hellos, endless waiting and break-neck rushing, inexorable boredom and overwhelming distractionstremendous paradoxes in sprawling boxes. In her usual eclectic and inventive way, director/choreographer Killian Manning turns her eye and her performers towards the friendly skies. Combining text, props, movement, music, and projected images, Now Boarding. . . is a work of passion, humor, introspection and connection.
