Skagit River Poetry Festival: Friday & Friday Night
After the students leave, the Festival opens at 2:30 to the general public with a Poetry Sampler with Kasey Jueds, Paul Hansen and Norman Fischer and two panel discussion: Poet as Social Conscience with Garth Martens, Lorna Dee Cervantes and Jan Zwicky and How Poetry Helps Us Live our Lives with poets Daemond Arrindell, Martha Silano and Garrett Hongo.
At 7:30: A Gathering of Voices. One Poem. Two Minutes
All festival poets read one poem. A great introduction into the sessions for Saturday. If you can't do a full day, this is the perfect Sampler for you!
