Contacting The Dark with Soundscape by RadianceMatrix
Contacting the Dark is a journey into extra-sensory awareness incorporating blindfolds, group play and contact dance. The blindfolds allow us to bypass patterns of disconnection so the group can share a somatic-sensory exploration of creative, body-based play within a safe, non sexual container. Movement, touch and vocalization are freed from the constraints of vision, verbalization and verticality as we float in a sea of ease.
This special Contacting the Dark will be held in the warm vibrational embrace of RadianceMatrix playing Tibetan Bowls. We will ride sonic waves to a place of resonance with shamanic chant and flutes as we awaken into a perceptual world.
Contacting the Dark is an easy entrance to the soft-touch, nourishing play that one can get in Contact Improvisation. There is a richness of experience that can come when participants are in touch with their sensate world that is profoundly satisfying.
Please wear loose clothes for easy movement.
Cost: $15 prepay/$20 at the door.
