Cardinal Innovations - U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division Conducts Provider Training
The training session will address critical Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) topics of interest for providers including:

The FLSA and minimum wage compensation; legal and illegal deductions; and hours worked, including issues involving waiting, travel, training, on-call and sleep times
The FLSA and overtime pay including relevant exemptions and exceptions
The FLSA's recordkeeping requirements
The FLSA and youth employment
The U.S. Department of Labor's FLSA enforcement activities including penalties as well as employee privacy rights
Common FLSA errors to avoid
The Wage and Hour Division's resources for the public
Brief discussion of the Home Care Final Rule (questions will be tabled and addressed later)
