Grapes to Apples
Contrary to popular opinion, cider is fermented not brewed, and requires a unique set of skills specific to winemaking, especially if made naturally.
It's no wonder two young cult winemakers based in the historic winemaking regions of Sonoma County and the Fingers Lakes where apples also happen to grow have been inspired to expand their horizons.
Join Darek Trowbridge of Troy Cider/Old World Winery and Kris Matthewson of Bellwether Cider as they share their knowledge about how each fruit best expresses terroir.
Wassail's Cider Director Dan Pucci moderating.
$25 includes talk and 1 wine and 1 cider from each producer.
