Human Core Data
Jon Zahourek has led the way in innovative anatomy education for more than 30 years following his development of the Anatomy in Clay Learning System. The scale models used with this program are in use in more than 10,000 classrooms, providing students of all ages and professional backgrounds an opportunity to discover the working systems of the body.
The act of building a model of the human body from the skeleton out reverses the traditional method of learning anatomy, through dissection, lectures, and rigorous memorization.
The Zahourek approach provides a unique alternative an active, hands-on experience that reinforces learning and empowers participants with a strong sense of accomplishment. In this comprehensive 48-hour course, participants will build the muscles of the body in the context of human and animal movement and evolution. Muscles, ligaments, and tendons are constructed one at a time, producing the complex sub-systems of the pelvis, spine, leg, arm, and torso participants get a clarified sense of morphology, learning the elements of form, function, and pattern while reinforcing essential concepts of the musculoskeletal system.
The workshop content also includes discussion of comparative structures in other animals, including the dog, horse, and great apes.
This CoreData workshop has been taught for more than 20 years, educating professionals in traditional medical and biology disciplines, veterinary sciences, visual arts, Pilates, yoga, and other bodywork systems.
Expand your understanding of the physical body with this unique opportunity from the Anatomy in Clay Centers. All class dates ARE required and include April 16-17, April 23-24, and April 30-May 1
