Chicago Solo Theatre: It's Personal Jan 2016
Captain Ambivalent (aka Dan Biemer) is a nerd-rock singer/songwriter/superhero, boldly battling market forces since 2005. His tenth anniversary one man show "Pirate Ninja Zombie: The Not So Secret Origin of Captain Ambivalent" toured Three Brothers Theatre in Waukegan, Three Cat Productions in Chicago, and Fringe Festivals in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Chicago, and Elgin. The Captain's glacial rise from total obscurity to semi-obscurity began at open mics in Northwest Indiana and has grown to include South Bend Public Television, PierogiFest, GenCon, and even a brief cameo on America's Got Talent. His studio albums "Fear the Accordion" and "Pirate Ninja Zombie" may be found at www.captainambivalent.com
While working as a substance abuse counselor Jen Bosworth began to write and develop her one-woman show, Why Not Me...Love, Cancer and Jack White. The show enjoyed two successful runs and was the breakout hit of the 2013 New York International Fringe Festival. Jen is currently a fill in host on WGN Radio and continues to act and write in Chicago. She is a mainstay of Chicago's booming Live Lit scene and occasionally, when she works up the courage, can be seen doing stand-up. Jen was recently seen in the Raven Theatre's The Play About My Dad directed by Chicago theatre powerhouse, Marti Lyons. Her website is: adamnnicelady.com
David Boyle (Host) is the founder & artistic director of Chicago Solo Theatre. Most recently he performed his latest solo show Pizza & Pop (and Church) at the Elgin Fringe Festival.
