Let us introduce you to the members of our solar system! We will become the Earth, Moon and planets, and then dance around our Sun. When we go into our star theater we will watch how the Sun & Moon moves across the sky, and then watch the day sky turn into night. We will find some favorite stars & planets in the sky. Then we will take an imaginary rocket trip to our favorite planets. After our trip we will make paper plate planets of our favorite planet(s) and create our own solar system to take home.
This is one of the classes in our Preschool STEM Program series of morning programs for young children, ages 3-5 years old with their adult caregiver. It is an introduction to the night sky for young children with an interactive planetarium show and a hands on craft activity after the show. Cost is $20 for child-parent (or other adult) pair for a 1.5 hour class. Check out more youth and family programs at the Pacific Planetarium at: http://pacificplanetarium.com/events
