Hey Brother
Bekah Brunstetter's newest play Hey Brother is a premier dramedy about the subtle nuances of life's complications, what it means to belong, and just how far someone might go to find love.
Ben, the bad boy older brother, is the edgy voice of generation Y. To the outside world he looks picture perfect. He is a young man working as a financial planner paying off his beach house, but as soon as he returns home his façade quickly falls away.  His pain is visible to his younger brother Isaac, who is currently rooming with him. When Ben isn't drinking the pain away, he's harassing his younger brother, who is trying to make his way through school and find love in his own life.
Enter Kris, she is a breath of fresh air, purity and love. Isaac's sensitive soul draws Kris in and the two of them begin to build something together. This mysterious creature is figuring out exactly what it means to belong, while she is hunting for her own history. Kris opens up both Ben and Isaac's eyes as to what it means to have family and how important it is that they have each other. Her authenticity and insightful truths draws the three of them together.
Once together it's difficult to tell exactly where this combustible mix of characters is heading. With her desperate need to connect, one man's broken heart, and the others naiveté this play elicits oceans of emotions.

The play runs: Feb. 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27 at 7:30pm and Feb. 21st at 2:00pm
