Temple of Happiness New Year's Day Yoga Class & Ceremony with Trixie Little
An extra special 2-hour New Year's Day Yoga Class and Technicolor Ceremony to celebrate the new year with our bodies, minds and spirits! Make YOURSELF the Temple of Happiness in 2016. Open the door to the new year with health, humor, creativity, community and LOVE LOVE LOVE! With LIVE MUSIC featuring electric sitar and the Indian tabla. This is a mixed level vinyasa class with a long guided meditation at the end. ***YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN MAT- WE DON'T HAVE ANY TO LEND*** Bring water and blanket/ block if you wish.
This class is also a fundraiser for Trixie's ground breaking new play, "The Queen of Everything," opening in New York City April 2016 at the Celebration of Whimsy Theater. Thank you for the support!

About the Teacher
Trixie Little (Beatrix Burneston) is an acrobatic burlesque pioneer and current Reigning Queen of Burlesque. She received her yoga teaching certification at Charm City Yoga in Baltimore in 2004, specializing in a hot vinyasa style. She went on to attend circus school from 2007-9 at New England Center for Circus Arts, where she studied partner acrobatics and duo trapeze. She performs full time, in NYC and around the world- in circus, burlesque, theater and variety shows. trixielittle.com

About "The Queen of Everything"
"The Queen of Everything" is a pioneering new play inspired by Alpine fairy and folk tales. Milkmaid Trixie Litttlewurst is slave to the demands of a giant Cuckoo Clock, until a chance encounter with an old beggar woman, Wind Tits, who launches Trixie on an adventure into the dark forest with her two assistants, The Nightmares. Hilarious and harrowing events take Trixie on the ultimate heroine's journey to retrieve the crown that will buy her freedom. "The Queen of Everything" is modernly classic, tragically comic and poignantly pointless.
