MATRIX PARENT NETWORK IS PROUD TO PRESENT ERIK & SANDY WEBER
**Tickets are available online until 12pm Sunday the 24th. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door with cash, check or credit card.**
When Erik Weber was 5 years old, Sandy Weber was told her son would never progress cognitively beyond 18 months due to his autism. Today he is a practicing attorney in San Diego and a gifted long distance runner. Sandy says she was able to work with her son because she let go of the idea of a perfect child and learned to embrace the child she had.
Erik has a BA from Point Loma Nazarene University, a MA in Public Administration from San Diego State University and a JD from California Western School of Law. He currently works at a law firm that focuses on special education.
He wrote a research paper about group home residential care for the developmentally disabled and met with Senator Marty Block's Chief of Staff Chris Ward to discuss how to improve residential care for the developmentally disabled.
He has 111 Special Olympics medals (91 gold, 12 silver, 8 bronze), won the San Diego Race For Autism three straight times in his age group and won his age division in the Pacific Grove Lighthouse 5K.
Erik's accomplishments are incredible, and even more so considering the obstacles he and his mother faced due to the dispiriting prognosis he received at a very young age. Come hear their inspirational story of overcoming all odds and seeing Erik reach his full potential.
There are also a limited number of tickets for an intimate dinner with Erik & Sandy immediately following the speaking event. Dinner is at the Left Bank, which is walking distance from the theater.
All ticket proceeds support Matrix Parent Network, a 501(c)(3) that provides free services to special needs families in Marin, Sonoma, Napa and Solano Counties.
