The Restorative Power of Plants
Patty Cassidy, a registered horticultural therapist, will discuss the benefits people derive from involvement with plants and nature, especially during periods of stress, illness and recovery, and aging. Patty holds as master's degree in counseling psychology, and has 35 years of experience as a teacher and mental health counselor. She is on the national board of the American Horticultural Therapy Association.
