Hoop Convergence Performance Showcase
Since 2008, Julia Hartsell Crews of hoopdrum has been organizing a hoop dancers' conference in NC called Hoop Convergence. This event brings together hoop dancers and movement artists from all over the US and beyond for workshops, forums, jams and community building. In 2011, Hoop Convergence added a public showcase so that the local Carrboro community could witness all the amazing talent that gathers here. This years Performance Showcase will feature talent from the UK, Canada, NYC, San Francisco and our local community of Carrboro. In addition to an amazing variety of hoop dancers, there will be aerial, partner acrobatics, cyr wheel, poi, flow wand and more!
