Culturecation: Step it Up!
Step It Up! is a journey through the ever developing history of step dance. Having been round for less then 100 years, stepping or step dance derives for a form of dance called gumboot which was used by men working in the mines as a way to communicate . Traveling from when it was used to communicate to an age where it is used to show unison, precision and group expression, stepping continues to evolve into a well know style of persuasive dance.
