Chicago Solo Theatre: It's Personal December 2015
"It's Personal" Chicago Solo Theatre's monthly show featuring the city's best professional storytellers is back at a NEW space on a NEW night with a NEW time! Join us on Sunday October 11th at Chicago Dramatists Theater 1105 W. Chicago Ave (Chicago & Milwaukee) 7pm showtime!
This month's featured performers are Erin Diamond and Laura Scruggs
Laura Scruggs is a storyteller, playwright and sometimes puppeteer. Her one woman show, "Punk Grandpa," has been performed in Chicago, New York, Elgin and Orlando and is now being performed in a multi-character version.
Erin Diamond grew up in Arlington Heights in a legendary neighborhood that is filled with stories. Erin began performing in Chicago's improv scene in 2010 via the iO Harold team Buck Range (RIP). Later, she told stories at The Moth and The Moth GrandSLAM and eventually began telling longer stories with shows like Essay Fiesta, This Much is True, and Here, Chicago. Erin went on to co-create and perform in the successful show ORAL: A Storytelling Hour at The Annoyance Theater. Look for ORAL at The Annoyance in the future as she and her co-creator, Bente Engelstoft hope to see it return.
David Boyle (Host) is the founder & artistic director of Chicago Solo Theatre. Most recently he performed his latest solo show Pizza & Pop (and Church) at the Elgin Fringe Festival.
