At Home with the Gores Tour
What is a story tour? It's a fun and informal viewing of one of Boston's finest historic homes with a focus on a particular aspect of life in early 1800s. For At Home with the Gores, the focus is on entertaining. How did a wealthy, sophisticated Boston couple amuse their friends? How did they while away the hours without electronics or social media? How different would dinner be from today? The story tour lasts approximately one hour and includes views of all the major rooms of the 1806 mansion as well as the recently restored 1793 Carriage House. come see why Gore Place has been called, "The Monticello of the North."
