Event
The GKRKU Roundhouse Invitational
Gavin and I would like to invite you to celebrate the end of the semester with a Memorial Day Fri-Sun weekend trip to the Berkshires! We have a chance to rent out an amazing beautiful house -- details below -- but we need to identify who is interested in coming BY TUESDAY MAY 1 AT 5PM in order to secure this space!
ABOUT THE VENUE: The Roundhouse is an amazing 4, story, 14-sided faerie house and property filled with small nooks, beautiful views, farm creatures, a teepee, a telescope, etc -- located an hour drive from Mass MoCA and other cultural and natural destinations. For $150 (or $110 if we have 30 people) each member of our group purchases a two-night stay, with full (mostly local and organic) meals, use of art supplies and musical instruments, and run of the property (except for the sauna, which will be off-limits during our time there unfortunately). See more at http://www.roundhouseculture.com/ or in the photos below.
This is NOT an Experience Economies event -- this is an intimate group of friends collectively sharing a weekend of music, games, outdoor time, libations, etc.
THE FINE PRINT: We have negotiated a special price with Bekki, who owns and runs this incredible house that she designed in a dream and built to suit. Because the price is so much lower than usual, we have agreed to bring sleeping bags and/or use comforters to keep laundering to a minimum (mostly pillowcases and towels). We also must leave the house in the same clean condition in which we found it. Alcohol and other celebratory enhancements are welcome but it's all BYO. The time at the house is Friday night (arrive for dinner) through Sunday after breakfast (this is correct -- but it is different from the Brown Paper Tickets info, please note). Anyone who wants can spend the day Sunday poking around the area or extend the weekend doing local camping, etc.
