STANLY COUNTY SCHOOLS EXPERIENTIAL FAIR

This event will be an innovative approach to informing the school district staff about viable resources in the community, including your organization. Counselors and social workers will be divided into small groups and given mock case scenarios of students with a variety of needs and challenges. The case scenarios will reference emotional and behavioral challenges, mental and physical health concerns, criminal behaviors, homelessness and many other issues that affect children and their families. Staff members will visit the booths of various agencies to help determine how to best develop a plan to help the student in their scenario. Their plans will include the services your agencies provide.

The goals of this type of learning opportunity are (1) to create a context for understanding the availability of services in the provider network and (2) to increase the likelihood of staff making well-informed referrals. For providers, this session will create an opportunity to showcase your organization's array of services to the student services staff from all of the Stanly County Schools.
