Chalcedon Imperial Sour Brown with Cocoa Nibs 2015 Release

ABOUT THE BEER:

Council Brewing is proud to announce our latest barrel aged bottle release, Chalcedon, an Imperial Sour Brown Aged in Oak Barrels with Cocoa Nibs. Chalcedon has completed its bottle conditioning and secondary fermentation (carbonation) process and is ready to be released.

This Imperial Sour Brown Ale was fermented with Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus and Pediococcus and aged in oak barrels for 11 months. Upon our first taste, the chocolate notes from the malt were the clear highlight. This flavor was enhanced by the subtle vanilla notes coming from the oak barrel. Taking the lead from these developing undertones, we added single origin cocoa nibs from the Dominican Republic, which contributed a distinct red berry flavor. This 10.7% ABV beer is best when shared after dinner in a wide chalice to allow the beer to warm and layers of flavors to unfurl.

This is a limited release of 780 bottles. Limit (3) bottles per person.

BOTTLE PURCHASE DETAILS:
Beginning on Thursday November 5th, 2015 at 12:00 PM, you will be able to purchase up to (3) 750 ml bottles of Chalcedon.

BOTTLE PICK UP DATES - November 10th, 2015 - December 12th, 2015. Bottles not picked up by December 12th, 2015 will be surrendered back to Council Brewing Co. No Refunds. No exceptions.

RELEASE PARTY:
We will be hosting a release party on Tuesday November 10th, 2015 throughout the entire day (2pm-9PM). We will have a keg of Chalcedon on tap this day along with a keep the glass special and Dominican chocolate pairing. (Glasses, Chocolate, Tasters, 10 oz pours of Chalcedon are sold separately and not included in purchase price of bottles.)

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Please use your name when purchasing the bottles. Only you may pick up the bottles. PROXIES are NOT allowed. You may not purchase bottles under another person's name. To retrieve your bottles, you will be required to show your proof of purchase (your "Brown Paper Tickets" ticket) and valid ID for the purchase of alcohol and to ensure your name matches to your bottle purchase. Must be 21+ years of age to purchase alcohol.

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES:
Please note that we will not issue refunds, exchanges, or returns. All sales are final.

SHIPPING:
Council Brewing will not ship the bottles. Bottles must be retrieved at the tasting room during regular tasting room hours.
