SMPS-SFBAC - 30 Years and Beyond
2012 marks our SMPS chapter's 30th anniversary. Over those 30 years, we have evolved into the largest chapter, consistently and steadily maintaining nearly 300 members throughout the Bay Area. Our growth and success can be attributed to a myriad of factors outstanding educational programs, opportunities for professional development, and strategic initiatives for chapter growth and industry visibility. Most importantly, SFBAC has grown and succeeded under the leadership and guidance of outstanding Presidents, supported by their executive boards and committee members. Since 1982, countless executive board and committee members have tirelessly volunteered their time and leadership to ensure that our chapter membership receives superior educational and professional resources.
About the Meeting:
How did we achieve our 30 years of success? Our panel members will shed light on the how the chapter really operates from year to year and discuss what the skills, experience, and commitment needed to be a chapter leader.
Where is the SFBAC headed in the next 30 years? We are looking for individuals who can help share this vision. That means taking the next steps in your profession development to be a future leader in our chapter. We'll share what the benefits are to you and your firm for being actively involved and a leader?

This program is spearheaded by the 2012 Past-Presidents Taskforce, a special advisory group formed within our chapter's Outreach & Development (O&D) Committee. The Taskforce comprises chapter Past-Presidents from the 2003-2004 year to the present and is charged with establishing structure, strategy, and procedures for the mentorship of future chapter leaders.

This is a free event, but seating is limited, and RSVP is mandatory due to building security.
