They're back! The sisters go on a brand new adventure when the Jewel Box presents Nunsensations: The Nunsense Vegas Revue. This zany musical is written by Dan Goggin and is being directed by Gwen Adams.

When a parishioner volunteers to donate $10,000 to the sisters' school if they will perform in a club in Las Vegas, Mother Superior is hesitant to accept. However, after being convinced by the other sisters that "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas," Reverend Mother agrees. What follows is the most featherfilled, sequin-studded, fan dancing "Nunsense" show ever! Performing in "The Pump Room" at the Mystique Motor Lodge, the sisters experience "show-biz" like never before. You'll meet Sin-City Sue, find out who's Black and White with Her Money on Red, and watch the sisters try to win a new car with the "Holy Rollers Giant Slot Machine." Taking a line from another show, a critic pointed out, "It's a whole lot funny and a little bit naughty, but there ain't nothin' dirty goin' on!"

In 1986, Dan Goggin received the Outer Critics' Circle Awards given to the original "Nunsense" for Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Music. "Nunsense," in addition to running 10 years in New York City, has now run in thousands of theaters around the world. There have since been many subsequent hit productions of "Nunsense," including "Nunsense 2," "Meshuggah-Nuns," and "Nunsensations."

Four years ago, Gwen Adams directed "Nunsense" at the Jewel Box and it broke attendance records and overwhelmed the ticketing system. The little nuns of Hoboken were a hit. Gwen has directed several hit productions at the Jewel Box, including last season's "Grey Gardens" and "The Great American Trailer Park Musical." Gwen is our new Artistic Director and has always enjoyed bringing fresh, new musicals to the Jewel Box.
