Greater Tuna
Portal Players Dramatic Society presents "Greater Tuna" as the club's final production of the 2011/2012 season. It is also Portal Players' entry in the Theatre BC North Island Zone Drama Festival, hosted this year by Courtenay Little Theatre at the Sid Williams Theatre through the third week of May. "Greater Tuna" features three actors portraying 20 characters in total, starring Elliot Drew, Terry Switzer and Peter Wienold.
"Greater Tuna" is an award-winning show written by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears & Ed Howard. The three performers create much of the population of Tuna, Texas' third smallest town in a tour de farce of quick change artistry, costumes and characterizations faster than a jack rabbit runs from a coyote.
Performance dates are Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, May 24, 25 & 26 and May 31, June 1 and 2. The performance date at Festival in Courtenay is on Wednesday, May 16.
Three actors, twenty characters and a barrel of laughs, ya'll.
