First Call Fundraising Gala with Trevor Linden and Youth Leaders
FIRST CALL FUNDRAISING GALA WITH TREVOR LINDEN AND YOUTH LEADERS

We invite you to join First Call and Trevor Linden for an evening of celebrating young people and advocates working to improve our foster care system. We are thrilled to be partnering with the Vancouver Foundation's Fostering Change initiative and the Trevor Linden Foundation to highlight this important issue.

Our annual fundraising galas are an occasion to celebrate our child and youth advocacy as well as to raise much-needed funds to ensure we can continue to put BC's children and youth first.

We hope you can join us for an evening filled with good food, good company, and the voices of inspiring and resilient youth and a valued community leader.

TREVOR LINDEN & FOSTERING CHANGE

A professional hockey player originally from Alberta, Trevor Linden is one of Canada's most respected athletes. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in 1988 and during his 20 year career was recognized for his leadership, commitment, talent and character both on and off the ice. In 2014, Trevor returned to hockey and was named the Vancouver Canucks' President of Hockey Operations & Alternate Governor, NHL.

In addition to his many on-ice accomplishments, Trevor was named the recipient of the Order of British Columbia (2003) and the Order of Canada (2010). Trevor is also a partner in Club16/Trevor Linden Fitness. His dedication to the community continues through the projects of the Trevor Linden Foundation, supporting youth development programs that encourage young people to discover their strengths and realize their potential. He and his wife Cristina live in Vancouver and you can often find them cycling or on the slopes in Whistler and the Okanagan.

Trevor and the Trevor Linden Foundation have been lending their support to the Vancouver Foundation's Fostering Change initiative to improve policy, practice and community connections for young people transitioning from foster care to adulthood. You can learn more at www.fosteringchange.ca
