Making the Case: What Grantmakers Want
In this workshop, Lori will provide insight into the world of grant making to support you in increasing funding for your organization. Through presentations and activities, topics covered will include: How to "read" an RFP When to ask for technical assistance Things to think about when working with an online proposal submission Key information that could help you to be organized to apply for grants. About the trainer: For 13 years she was an Impact Manager at United Way of King County and managed investments focused on youth and young adults and a fund called New Solutions. Lori also serves on the Neighbor 2 Neighbor Fund of the Seattle Foundation and has been on several grant review teams throughout King County. Prior to her work in philanthropy and grantmaking, Lori was the Executive Director of the Greater Maple Valley Community Center, and a member of the Maple Valley Communities That Cares and co-chair of the SKC Youth Violence Prevention Committee. Presently Lori currently works with the City of Kent Housing and Human Services. Lori also currently serves on the Maple Valley Food Bank and Emergency Services Board of Directors.
