Salty Brine's Spectacular Living Record Collection Cabaret presents... I'M A LOT LIKE YOU
Shows every Wednesday night. A different album every month. This dazzling expedition into the heart of popular music, created and performed by cabaret artist Salty Brine, takes incredible albums and twists them in style and form until they are at once familiar and foreign, nostalgic and new. Imagining track lists as blueprints for evenings of musical mayhem, Salty brings you his SPECTACULAR LIVING RECORD COLLECTION CABARET as part of a residency at downtown's swankiest speakeasy, The Red Room. So take off your headphones, turn off your iPods, grab a cocktail, and hold on tight as your record collection comes to life!
This month from the collection...I'M A LOT LIKE YOU
A rockstar legend with an inferiority complex. An officer's promise made but never fulfilled. A girl. A letter. A song. A knife. Weezer's gritty sophomore album, PINKERTON, and Puccini's soaring opera, MADAME BUTTERFLY, converge in this month's edition of SALTY BRINE'S SPECTACULAR LIVING RECORD COLLECTION CABARET.
