MK Michaeli is also known for her powerful feminist voice and as a fierce defender of women and LGBT rights and supporter of equality and democracy in Israel.
Merav Michaeli is a leading Member of Israel's Knesset from the Labor Party. She is the Chair of the Caucus for Female Knesset Members, and a member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committees. When made the transition from journalism to politics in 2013, she described her new calling as "the space in which there is power to create a reality, to change reality, to have an influence."
