The Wisdom of Wit
Megan Cole presents a dramatized lecture of Margaret Edson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Wit. Megan created the role of Dr. Vivian Bearing in the original production at the South Coast Repertory and performed it in Seattle, Houston & Austin. In this 60 minute rendition, she plays each of the characters from the play, creating an artful study on the subject of Empathy.
Ms. Cole, who has appeared in many seasons at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, is a beloved national repertory actor who was awarded the L.A. Drama Critics' Circle Award and the DramaLogue Award for her performance in Wit. A 30 minute symposium will follow our presentation, and feature notable speakers on the matter of death & dying, and compassion & choices.
